WHAT IS A HUMAN?
IMAGE OF GOD
Genesis 1:26-27
Every human being, simply by virtue of being human, is made in the image of God.
You can't talk about the Bible's understanding of human beings without dealing with the idea that we are made in God's image. This means we have a deep connection to God, and must treat ourselves and others with dignity and value. It also means we are built to reflect God in the world, "imaging" his character and love. This part of God's image was ruined by sin, but in Jesus Christ—the true image of God—we can be remade into what we are meant to be.
APPLICATION QUESTIONS
1. What about being made in the image of God can change the way you look at yourself?
2. What about being made in the image of God can change the way you look at others?
3. How does Jesus Christ show us what it means to image God?
4. How does Jesus Christ repair you so you can image God in your life? What would that look like this week?

“Oh come, let us sing to the Lord; let us make a joyful noise to the rock of our salvation! Let us come into his presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to him with songs of praise!” Psalm 95:1-2
If you love to sing, consider joining our Cornerstone Advent Choir. Rehearsals will be on Monday evenings starting on November 2nd, and the choir will be singing during the December 13th Sunday services. If you’d like to join or would like more details, please reach out!
Cornerstone Women's Retreat

We have our women's retreat coming up in a couple of weeks and this is the last chance to register! If you've been on the fence or been meaning to join, please sign up today. This is a unique time that doesn't come around often to step away together for a time of rest, renewal and a wonderful opportunity to enjoy fellowship, deepen relationships, and build new friendships with other women. If you’d love to attend but cost is a concern, please don’t let that keep you from coming and reach out to us!
