The Joy of Jesus

SUMMARY
The natural state of the Christian is joy
Against the assumption of many, Christianity will inevitably bring joy into the human heart. In this passage from Luke, we find Jesus bringing joy to a tax collector and his friends. When pressed, he describes life with him as a wedding celebration. This morning we will look at the joy Jesus brings and see what it can mean for our own lives following him.

Weekly Announcements
Summer Seminar: How to Sing a Worship Song
June 29th, 1:00pm, Welcome Center
We arrive at church expecting to sing—but do we stop to consider how we sing, why we sing, or what it really means to worship through music?
In this behind-the-scenes seminar led by Andy Wilson, we’ll walk through the full process of preparing a worship song—from choosing a song and evaluating its theology to rehearsing the band and shaping the Sunday experience. This class isn’t just for musicians—it’s for anyone who wants to engage more deeply in worship. Together, we’ll explore how small, practical shifts can lead to a more mindful and wholehearted response to God.
Registration is now open!
More upcoming Summer Seminars:

July 13 Understanding Disability & the Church
July 27 Christianity & Science
