THE GOSPEL OF LUKE:
HEAVEN COME DOWN
Luke 9:28-36
We see the glory of Jesus on the mountain so we can know the glory of Jesus on the cross
Three disciples follow Jesus up a mountain, and it seems like heaven comes down to earth. Jesus' true glory is unveiled, and we are again pressed with the question: who is this? This event, the transfiguration, reveals to us Jesus' identity, his mission, and the way we access it in our own lives.
APPLICATION QUESTIONS
1. Are there ways you have Jesus playing a supporting role in your life? What would it look like for you to put him in the center?
2. How does the Transfiguration deepen your appreciation for the cross?
3. What would it look like for you to listen to Jesus as the authority in your life? What areas of your life would be shaped differently?

Join us in exploring a few select passages from the Gospel of Luke through the lens of disability as we enter back into the Luke sermon series. We aim to learn from Christ, his interactions with those affected by disability, and how we can apply these principles for our church family today.

If you are new to Cornerstone, this is a class designed specifically for you. It’s a great place to learn about who we are, what we believe, and how we live. Register today!

For Cornerstone members, our next family meeting is also coming up. We will recognize new members and servant ministers, talk about what God's been doing in and through our church, and talk a little bit about what's to come. We're asking that at least one person from every household of members attend if possible. Need childcare? Register here!

Our first Super Sunday of the season is coming soon. We hope you'll join us to be equipped for living the Christian life in West LA. Most classes and cohorts include resources to be reviewed, so register as soon as possible to have plenty of time to look them over before the first meeting. All registration links can be found here.
