“You cannot understand Christmas or why Jesus came into the world until you understand that He came to seek and to save you who are lost, weary, broken and guilty.”

Everyone searches for their purpose, asking, “Why am I here?” But when Jesus came to earth He already knew why He was sent. He was sent to seek and to save the lost. There are two definitions of lost: to be unable to find your way, and something that is ruined or destroyed. Those who are lost, unable to find their way home, Jesus comes and He seeks you out. Those who have experienced the destruction, brokenness, and lostness of this world and of your own hearts, Jesus comes and He saves you. This is why Jesus came.
