“What shall we say to these things?”

April 1, 2018

Easter is a time to celebrate, because it commemorates the day we were overwhelmed with the reality and goodness of God. When we understand the reality of Easter, we’ll see that it connects us to God’s love in such a way that we can make it through anything. Paul explains that all of our internal problems and all of our external problems look differently in light of God’s love for us in Christ Jesus.

Application Questions

  1. What is it like for you to experience internal accusation? How do you handle it when you feel like you don’t/won’t measure up? Does it work?
  2. How does Jesus solve the problem of internal accusation? What would change about your life if you believed that, because of Jesus, God will never hold an accusation against you?
  3. Why is Paul so concerned that the resurrection of Jesus really happened? Do you share his point of view?
  4. How does a resurrected Jesus sustain you through suffering? How can you apply the reality of a future resurrection to your life now?
