"Advent is the season every year when we stop and practice the virtue of joyful waiting."

Unfortunately there were technical difficulties this past Sunday and we do not have the audio file for the sermon.

November 29th, 2020Paul provides a powerful example to us of how to pray for one another, especially during this Advent season.  Reflecting on prayers of thanksgiving, we come to God asking for the heart of Christ and for help to walk in the steps of Christ.  And as we do, God answers our prayers and transforms our lives, just as he transformed the world through the very first Advent.

Application Questions:

  1. As you reflect on the spiritual blessings you have from Christ, what can you be thankful to God for, even in the midst of a difficult season?
  2. In what ways does your heart continue to need to be conformed to Christ's?
  3. How can you make praying for the heart of Christ a regular part of your prayer life?
  4. How would this year be different if you were engaged in it with a heart of joyful waiting?
  5. How can you use this season of Advent to pursue a heart of joyful waiting?
