"We don't want a King, but we need a King, and He is different than we ever thought."

Many Christmas Carols call Jesus our long expected King.  As we reflect on what it means that the King was born in a manger, we learn about our own hearts and our own need for God himself to rule our lives.  While we want a King, we reject the King, and so God sent Jesus to do something no other King could do: die for our sins and come back alive.  Now we can find a refuge in the one we used to reject, and submit every part of our lives to him.
