Cornerstone exists because of Jesus. We are a people who have been transformed by the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, God has forgiven us and adopted us into his family. Now, we have a whole new life.
Through the gospel, God redeems us, forgives us, and adopts us into his family. The good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection makes each one of us a new creation and gives us a new identity: children of God. This is why we can never think of the church as an organization or a building. The church is actually a family—God’s family, filled with redeemed sinners that are now his children.
Through the gospel, God forgives us, adopts us into his family, and makes us his disciples. This means that the church is not just any family. We are a family formed by God—and sent out with a purpose.
The church is a family that ministers to one another, cares for one another, and builds one another up. Each member of the family is a child of God who is uniquely gifted to bless the family and to be a light in our city.
Just like a vine grows best with a good trellis, our church family grows best with good programs. Our programs and ministries are tailored to support the community and mission God has given us.
“God is not approaching you to condemn you, but to draw you out of hiding with his grace and mercy.”
“Christians who are confused by the homosexuality debate raging in the US are looking for resources that are based solidly on a deep study of what Scripture says about the issue."
Change without Jesus is just behavior modification, and that is not what those struggling with same-sex attraction need.
"The act of sexual immorality is the tip of the iceberg of our sin. And to properly deal with it, we have to aim deep. We'll look at three levels of sexual immorality in the fight against pornography."
"The Bible is clear that sexuality is not just good, but also sacred."
"We have to take our blinders off. We have to see pornography for what it is: devastating, painful, and sinful."
"When those ministering to Same Sex Attraction strugglers treat SSA as the defining issue in their life—making it the focal point of all counseling and discipleship—they are simply affirming the world’s message that this struggle defines their identity."
A counseling and discipleship course on the multitude of sexual issues and how they are addressed by the truth of Scripture and the gospel.
There are times in everyone’s life when you need some help walking through a particular struggle. We see counseling as an extension of our ministry of making disciples, and if you are particularly in need, we would love the opportunity to come alongside you and help.
