Cornerstone exists because of Jesus. We are a people who have been transformed by the gospel, the good news of Jesus Christ. Through Jesus’ death and resurrection, God has forgiven us and adopted us into his family. Now, we have a whole new life.
Through the gospel, God redeems us, forgives us, and adopts us into his family. The good news of Jesus’ death and resurrection makes each one of us a new creation and gives us a new identity: children of God. This is why we can never think of the church as an organization or a building. The church is actually a family—God’s family, filled with redeemed sinners that are now his children.
Through the gospel, God forgives us, adopts us into his family, and makes us his disciples. This means that the church is not just any family. We are a family formed by God—and sent out with a purpose.
The church is a family that ministers to one another, cares for one another, and builds one another up. Each member of the family is a child of God who is uniquely gifted to bless the family and to be a light in our city.
Just like a vine grows best with a good trellis, our church family grows best with good programs. Our programs and ministries are tailored to support the community and mission God has given us.
Sparks® ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ.
Sparks® ignites the curiosity of early elementary-age kids to learn about the people and events of the Bible, building a foundation of wisdom for knowing Christ. Our purpose is to support our parents as they disciple their children with God's Word. We teach our Sparks Bible stories from The Jesus Storybook Bible, memorize Scripture together, play fun games, and learn about the big truths of God and His Word.
Sparks is a three-year club program for Kindergartners through 2nd graders. As children enter elementary school they begin to form their understanding of the world, how it works, and what is important. Sparks comes alongside these students to help them see God as the center of everything in their lives.
Sparks meets in 6-week rotations during Cornerstone Sunday Equipping, from 3:00pm-4:30pm. This allows parents to take an equipping class while their children are participating in Sparks.
3:00-3:15pm Check-in/Song Time
3:45-4:15pm Bible Memorization Time
4:15-4:30pm The Jesus Storybook Bible Teaching
Our Sparks leaders are qualified Servant Ministers, Marcelle V. and Carrie C., who love to teach our Sparks children from God's Word. We would absolutely love to have you join us as we teach and serve these children, and if you would like to be involved or if you would like more information, please email: firstname.lastname@example.org
We encourage our Sparks parents to help our students work through their Bible memorization Sparks books. Also, every Sparks parent is required to sign up and serve for one of the four 6-week sessions that take place during the Sparks year.
Cornerstone Sunday Equipping are when the entire church family can gather together and be equipped. We want to see men, women, and children learn how to love God, love one another, and carry the gospel to all corners of our city.
We check in our children to ensure their safety and give parents peace of mind. At Cornerstone, our check in system lets you know that your children are in a safe and nurturing environment.
Cornerstone is a nurturing environment for your children to learn and grow. We take our responsibility for children very seriously, and we've designed a child protection policy to ensure that every child in our care will be safe.
