Cornerstone will be collecting new unwrapped toys for the annual Christmas Toy Store.

Los Angeles Christian School (LACS), a ministry of World Impact, is supported each month Cornerstone through a gift to Julie Deas, the school Business Manager and a missionary with World Impact. The mission of LACS is to support urban families by equipping students for a life of discipleship by helping them develop academic competence, Christian character, and self confidence. All of the families receive scholarships to attend the school as most of them are low income and would not be able to attend a Christian school without the support of individual donors and churches.

The annual Christmas Toy Store is Friday, December 13, and LACS is collecting new unwrapped toys to sell to the school families. The toy store is place where parents can come purchase Christmas gifts for their children at a reduced cost. All of the toys are donated and sold at a significant discount. Parents can feel good about purchasing gifts for their children, and limits are placed on the amount of toys each family can buy per child, so no one is spending too much. This is also a fundraiser for the school, so the money goes back into helping educate the students.

There will be a box available for toy collection at the church until Sunday, December 8th. If you would like to contact Julie Deas directly for more information or volunteer opportunities, e-mail her at
