Cornerstone

This conference is designed to explore why it is so important for us to understand the multi-ethnic nature of the Church, why it is so difficult for the multi-ethnicity of heaven to be realized in our communities on earth, and how we can move forward in Christ as one people.

The blood of Christ was shed to ransom people for God from every tribe, language, people and nation (Rev. 5:9). The Church of God, Christ's bride, is fundamentally and necessarily a multi-ethnic bride. Looking into heaven the Apostle John says this:

"After this I looked, and behold, a great multitude that no one could number, from every nation, from all tribes and peoples and languages, standing before the throne and before the Lamb, clothed in white robes, with palm branches in their hands, and crying out with a loud voice, “Salvation belongs to our God who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb!” –Revelation 7:9-10 ESV

And yet on earth ethnic, cultural, racial divisions are sharp and ever-present. Ethnic, cultural, and racial hatred, interpersonally and systemically exist in every corner of our world, including our country, our cities, our neighborhoods, and our church. But the gospel of Jesus Christ can and will ultimately break down these walls of division.
